This is a classic loafer made according to the moccasin method. In moccasin making, the upper continues to run along under the forefoot. The stitching on the forefoot is done by hand. This is done while the shoe is already stretched on the last. This may not be the easiest way to perform this step, but it is by far the most beautiful way to do it. This way, the mirror seam on the forefoot can be placed perfectly and the pleats at the stitching remain as even as possible. The moccasin method makes for a particularly supple shoe. The lining is made of top-quality calf leather. The sole is made of vegetable-tanned sole leather. This shoe does not have a removable footbed. The moccasin is made on an H-last and is thus suitable for slightly wider feet. For a medium-wide foot, a similar moccasin is available on a G last, it’s called the Mysta 01.20 (article number SBM-40020-10-01).
